Another Ceasefire, Another Negotiation

Israel is now participating in another 72-hour ceasefire with Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The Prime Minister has been straightforward and open in his motivations concerning the war in Gaza. He wants quiet (meaning no rockets flying). But his motivations may be working against him. Hamas is starting to figure him out and using his desires as negotiating chips. Hamas, of course, wants the impossible: the blockade opened, a seaport, an airport, and free access to and from Israel. Given the present circumstances in the Gaza, with Hamas arming and doing everything possible to hurt Israel, Israel cannot agree to any of their terms. But they are negotiating.
If Israel relaxes the hold on Gaza for a pledge of disarming and not shooting rockets, the enemies of Israel will view it as a victory. Even worse, Hezbollah in Lebanon may be prompted by Iran to start shooting rockets into Israel. The worst that can happen is Israel bombs Lebanon, some minor incursions into Lebanon, and another ceasefire. With the ceasefires come more negotiations, such as the return of the Golan Heights or Sheba Farm (both disputes lands on the border) to Syria.
At the moment, many Israelis are frustrated with Netanyahu. They want Hamas eliminated; the problem solved. What most people in the world do not know is that the President of the United States is supporting the Palestinians and in particular Hamas. The President does NOT want Hamas eliminated. The President preaches that the Palestinians are neighbors that Israel must accept as the land belongs to them also.
It is on this last point that the lies of this conflict reside. The truth is that Hamas and every other Arab nation other than Jordan and Egypt (they signed peace treaties) are still calling for the death of Israel and all Jews. The idea that the land originally belonged to the Palestinians is bogus. There has never been a nation of Palestine nor a people indigenous to that land. The Romans took it away from Israel, the Persian's took it for a while followed by the Greeks. The Byzantines held it until the Crusades against the Muslims. Eventually the Turks held it until WWI and it became a British mandate before the UN. In 1948, Israel declared themselves a state following the UN declaration for a Jewish Homeland (the Arabs never agreed with the British or the UN). Bottom line: there NEVER was a nation of Palestine. There is no land being “occupied” by Israel. It is all a lie to justify killing Jews after the Holocaust.

So here we are. Israel is just trying to exist and not be wiped out before our eyes. Another ceasefire, another negotiation.

Things are Escalating

Greetings,
If you watch the news you know things are escalating quickly in the middle east.  The world seems to be be spinning quicker and quicker towards destruction.  Tune into the broadcast this evening as I give an extensive update on our current events, not only with Israel, but also with the world conflicts escalating this week.  You can watch the update starting at 7:30 CDT by clicking here

A Shift in Strategy

Hamas Terror TunnelsIsrael has decided to shift its strategy in fighting Hamas in Gaza.  Israel believes it has destroyed the cross-border tunnels that would be used by Hamas to infiltrate Israel with killers.  They report that 30 of those tunnels have been destroyed.  Israel is now “regrouping” its ground forces to develop and much larger border area in Gaza territory, blunting future tunnel construction.  This strategy saves the lives of IDF soldiers and puts Hamas into a “disregard.”  With the exception of their rockets they can do nothing.  They live in virtual rubble with no power, water, or sewers.  Israel has reduced their rocket and missile inventories significantly and will keep up the air strikes.  The hope on Israel’s part is that the Palestinians will conclude that following Hamas has only brought death and destruction to the Gazan residents.

World opinion has turned against Israel most recently because of the death of ten Palestinians near a UN security compound.  There is still an investigation concerning this.  If Israel is at fault I’m sure apologies and corrections will be made (something never done by Hamas).  However, many of these incidents have turned out to be an errant rocket fired by Hamas crashing into Gaza instead of Israel.  The world media NEVER reports those; they just say that the Gaza conflict has killed more civilians, laying the blame on Israel, of course.UN Security CouncilBy the way, the so called "death toll" and casualty reports for Gaza are absolutely bogus.  These reports passed on by the media come from Hamas, and initial analysis of checking names has found much duplication to inflate the numbers.  Some names are listed up to 5 times.  They also do not list Hamas militant deaths and casualties; those are minimized.  Israel reports the death of hundreds of militants, which Hamas denies.

Anti-Israel Protests at the White HouseIn recent days, there have been protests that are pro-Gaza and anti-Israel in major cities of the United States and outside the White House.  I smell a rat here.  The overwhelming majority of US citizens support Israel in its struggle with Hamas, so what motivated this so-called spontaneous protest with thousands and why is the American media reporting them and not the dominant pro-Israel stance of the majority?  I don’t think we have to look any further than the White House.  They do not want Hamas destroyed (they are part of the Muslim Brotherhood).  I would remind you that the President has many “advisors” (paid for by US taxpayers) that are avowed members of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Is there any chance that they are doing a little “community organizing” to enable these protests?

Blessings, Monte

Greetings!

Shalom my Friends,

I am planning to use this space for daily updates.  I will be addressing the strategies of the war in Israel and the decisions being made for that region.  Hopefully, this information will help us know how to pray for the situation and keep the God of Israel at the forefront of our thinking.  Thank you for joining me in this endeavor.

By the way, I had a wonderful time in Amarillo last weekend.  I met many new brethren and saw some old friends.  It was a delight to be there.

Blessings, Monte
